I keep reading and reading about this rioting in MO...and am disappointed and upset with people in general and the black people especially. Now, before someone gets their dander up, let me explain. First of all, I'm not prejudice or bias in any manner. I have had and still have many black and hispanic friends. And because I"m American, I have a right to express my thoughts here on my own forum.
Okay...here's the deal. Black people...we do NOT force you to live here. My great great..however many greats...fought to free YOUR great, great...however many greats...from slavery. It was never intended for your greats to STAY here. We would free you and you would get on a boat and GO HOME. Your greats didn't, and because we are, or were, a benevolent nation, we didn't argue with them, as long as they were... and many of them who remained with the families who formerly owned them as slaves as employees and found pride in the work they did...GAINFULLY employed.
This happened to your great great...however many greats...relatives. IT DID NOT HAPPEN TO YOU. You are NOT African American. Your ancestors were. YOU were born and raised here. YOU are an American. MY ancestors were Irish...ergo, Irish American. I'm an American of Irish decent.
There is actually very little racial prejudice here. You instill riots when a white police officer does the job he was hired to do. Now that you've destroyed your own homes, shops, cars and such, you will be whining to the government that you have no place to live, no business to open, no way to make money. Oh, well. YOU did that. We certainly didn't run about and torch innoent people's businesses like lunatics. If the roll had been reversed, we wouldn't have been screaming in the streets, firing guns and waving ridiculous signs about.
That's why you're thought of as animals. This disgusts me. It's a black mark on your race to have done such a terrible crime (and yes, it WAS a crime, the destruction of others property), and on mine to have allowed it. I would have arrested the lot of you and put your arses in jail until after the verdict, then put you all under house arrest for the next month to allow for a cooling off period.
I'm sorry...so very sorry...a boy is dead. But why was he where he was, with known criminal elements, and acting suspiciously? Where were you, his parents? Did you bother to teach him respect for EVERYTHING, or were you so blinded with racial prejudice that you only spoke to him about the law being on 'their' side? And to take from 'whitey' everything you can? Because "we enslaved you". NO, WE DID NOT ENSLAVE YOU!! That part of your history is over and done. If you can't be American, than try going back and embracing the country your ancestors came from with that attitude of yours and see how far you get.
SO...this is what happens now. You are no longer getting the sympathetic attention from people that you so desperately think you need. We look at what was done in MO and cluck our tongues and shake our heads at the adults who forgot they were no longer 16 and destroyed a town, made people fearful to the point of illness, and we no longer feel sorry for the 'poor black man'. We are disgusted and angry that you feel you have to behave this way to call attention to yourselves. My sympathies go to the cop who was only doing his job. Now...THAT part of your history is over and done. Get on with life and living and if you can't stay here, then we humbly invite you to go back to Africa...on your own dime, not mine.
You get more flies with honey than you do with vinegar.
Feel free to comment...I will delete any racist remarks from here or any vulgarity.
